Dr. Jacqueline McKinnon is a registered clinical psychologist who offers psychological assessment and psychotherapy/counselling services to individuals 18 years and older. Her therapeutic approach draws most heavily from Cognitive-Behavioural and Emotion-Focused therapies.  When indicated, she also incorporates techniques from additional therapeutic modalities (e.g. solution-focused therapy, mindfulness meditation, dialectical-behavioural skills training).

Common presenting issues seen in her practice include:

  • Anxiety
  • Depression
  • Low Self-Esteem
  • Coping with chronic pain and illness
  • Problems coping with stress
  • Procrastination and/or perfectionism
  • Difficulty following through on diet/exercise goals
  • Preparing for and/or adjusting to major life transitions
